Business Advisory Council

The Highland County Workforce Development Program is a proud participant of the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center's Business Advisory Council (BAC) as both a local partner as well as a reginal partner. The regional BAC includes educators, business professionals, community agents as well as service providers across Highland, Clinton, Fayette, and Adams Counties while the local BAC consists of educators, business professionals, community agents as well as service providers across Highland and Adams Counties.

According to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce the goal and focus of a Business Advisory Council is to build locally focused partnership that "convene education and business leaders to engage in dialogue, build trust and identify strategies that transform the student learning experience. The on-going, intentional collaboration can result in a more responsive education system based on regional economic drivers and needs, more relevant learning experiences for students that include work-based learning opportunities and enduring partnerships between schools and local industries."
